Test Results
Results Overview
IELTS scores range from 0 to 9 for each part of the test which are:
Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
This score reflects your English ability rather than passing or failing.
Accessing Your Results Online
To see your results, sign into your IELTS account and select your test date. If you have taken the IELTS Computer Delivered Test, your results will be ready in 3-5 days; for the Paper Based Test, it is 13 days.
Note: Results are not given by phone, email, or fax.
Receiving Your Test Report Form
You will receive a paper certificate at the address you provided when registering, on the same day your results go online. You can also collect it at the test centre after the results are out, so just send an email to request it.
Important: Lost certificates cannot be replaced. Standard delivery is free, but you can pay a courier company to bring it to you. Contact the IELTS Team for more details.
Not Satisfied with Your Score?
If you’re not happy with your score, you may apply for a score review online or at your test centre.
You are allowed to do this within six weeks of your test. An experienced examiner will re-check your test without knowing your first score.
Your score might change, and if so, you will be issued a new certificate. This process can take up to 3 full weeks. If you don’t hear back after 21 days, contact your test centre.
Remember, you can retake IELTS as many times as you need to get the score you want.
